About this course
In this course, Dr. Ursula Sansom-Daly, Behavioural Sciences Unit, UNSW Medicine, draws from her work with cancer populations to examine what gaps still remain in understanding how to best utilise telehealth in clinical practice so as to preserve the interpersonal connection. Practical strategies are discussed to enhance the therapeutic alliance and healthcare engagement for both the facilitating healthcare professional and the patient/client. Ethical considerations are outlined for the safe management of both psychology clients and special groups. This talk also explores human factors that pose challenges to the implementation of videoconferencing-based services in healthcare beyond COVID-19.
