About this course

In this course, Dr. Jamal Boudion (Ph.D., LPC, NCC, School Counsellor at CT Janet, Adjunct Professor at The University of Holy Cross) shares his experiences of loneliness, microaggression, and feeling unseen as a Black male school counsellor where the majority of staff are white women. Dr. Boudion explains why greater visibility for Black male school counsellors is important and suggests strategies which all counsellors and school personnel can implement to help reduce the racial inequity and microaggressions experienced by people like himself – minority faces in important spaces.
